Officers rescue terrified teens from ‘snarling Bigfoot with glowing eyes’ in Louisiana forest – amid series of sightings

A group of terrified teenagers have been rescued after an encounter with a “glowing Bigfoot with glowing eyes” in a Louisiana forest.

Natchitoches Parish sheriff’s deputies reported that the recent high school graduates from Houma were in distress late last week while deep in the Kisatchie National Forest.

The teens, ages 17 and 18, recounted a terrifying encounter with what the group described as a creature that resembled “Bigfoot” with glowing eyes, the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office (NPSO) said.

Reports said the group had traveled about 1.5 miles (2.4 kilometers) along the Back Bone Trail in southern Natchitoches Parish to camp after their graduation party.

One of the teens panicked when he heard a growling sound and saw a mysterious figure about 5 feet tall with glowing eyes, and called emergency services to save him.

The teens, ages 17 to 18, recounted a terrifying encounter with what the group described as a creature that resembled “Bigfoot” with glowing eyes, according to the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office (NPSO).

According to the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office, officers with the NPSO Patrol Operations Bureau responded to reports from the NATCOM 911 Center of a group in need of assistance in the Kisatchie National Forest at approximately 9:20 p.m.

Adjunct B. Remo and Corporal D. Halliburton approached the camp site cautiously, alert for signs of danger.

When officers heard the group’s whistle, they found them unharmed but visibly shaken.

Upon arrival at the campsite, officers escorted the teenagers safely out of the woods.

Despite a thorough investigation, authorities were unable to confirm reports of a creature matching the group’s description.

The NPSO concluded its statement by congratulating the graduates, thanking them for visiting Natchitoches Parish and Kisatchie National Forest, and wishing them success in their future endeavors.

Oddly enough, this encounter comes after earlier reports of Bigfoot activity in the same forest. A Bigfoot researcher from Baton Rouge found these sticks in the shape of a "X" laying a branch that he said is typical of a marking Bigfoot used in 2019

Many social media users were skeptical about the meeting and questioned the details the teens shared in the comments.

According to some, the glowing eyes could simply be the light from a flashlight, possibly coming from local wildlife such as a black bear or wild boar.

“If they had used a flashlight the eyes would have glowed. Probably a black bear or possibly a wild boar,” one person wrote.

Others praised the teens for quickly deciding to seek help instead of trying to navigate the woods alone while feeling stressed.

“It looks like they were too scared to go outside themselves and had to call for help?” another user responded.

Others joked that the group had probably been on a substance or drug that made them see things that weren’t there.

“When the mushrooms start working…” said another.

However, the encounter follows earlier reports of Bigfoot activity in the same forest.

In 2019, two researchers known only as Tex-La and Claude conducted a nighttime expedition into the Kisatchie National Forest. They howled into the forest four times to “Bigfoot” and received the same howl back four times.

Tex-La, a veteran Bigfoot investigator from Baton Rouge, explained that their methods involve using audio devices and cameras camouflaged among trees to collect evidence of Bigfoot’s presence, TheTownTalk reported.

Claude also stressed the importance of interpreting subtle cues, such as twisted tree branches and mysterious markings, which they believe could indicate the presence of Bigfoot.

“It is what it is. If you choose to believe, that’s great. If you choose not to believe, that’s great too,” Tex-La told the outlet.

“A lot of people don’t want to come forward because they don’t want to be intimidated,” he added.

Claude said he was able to take pictures of Bigfoot tracks in the area they were investigating.

“Nothing special, nothing to write home about. But they were — in my opinion — good tracks,” he said.

This follows a series of reports of ‘Bigfoot’ sightings in several states across the country.

In October 2023, a multi-state investigation was launched after a high-profile “Bigfoot” sighting in Colorado prompted other US states to step up their searches.

Indiana and Oklahoma launched expeditions to find Bigfoot after Sasquatch believers’ hopes were raised after a viral video emerged in Colorado showing evidence of a “sighting.”

While traveling on a narrow-gauge train from Durango to Silverton, a passenger looking for elk with her husband was distracted by a hairy creature.

Shannon Parker of Cheyenne, Wyoming, said, “I think I saw Bigfoot.”

Another passenger, Brandon, saw the couple’s reaction and decided to grab his phone to record the mythical beast.

The Native Oklahoma Bigfoot Research Organization launched an investigation in McAlester after receiving multiple reports of “Bigfoot sightings” last September.

Despite the Indiana Bigfoot Research Organization being far removed from the recent events, the fall camp began on October 12th with about 40 squatters over the weekend, hoping to connect with other believers and try their luck at catching a glimpse of the creature.
