Four ‘Zenless Zone Zero’ codes to redeem for free on Polychrome, Denny and more

Zenless Zone Zero just launched with 50 million downloads, not unexpected for the next massive Hoyoverse game in the wake of its other ongoing behemoth, Genshin Impact. I’ve played a bit so far and it’s fine, but I should give it more time. If you’re just starting out though, there are a bunch of codes you can redeem that you probably don’t know about that will net you some valuable currency.

There are currently five codes in the wild, but you can only use four of them, because two of them are essentially the same. We have:

  • ZZZFREE100 – 300 Polychrome, 30,000 Denny, two Senior Investigator Logs, three W-Engine Energy Modules (this one expires July 11)
  • ZENLESSGIFT – 50 Polychrome, two official research logs, three W-Engine Power Supply, one Bangboo Algorithm Modules
  • ZENLESSLAUNCH – 60 Polychrome, 6,666 Denny
  • ZZZ2024 or ZZZTVCM – 50 Polychrome, 6,000 Denny (can’t use both)

The free code can be redeemed at any time, but the other codes must be claimed after you reach level 5 in the game, which happens quite quickly.

You can redeem these by going to the main menu, clicking on “more” and then there is an option for code redemption. They are not case sensitive.

This is in addition to the welcome gifts you get when you first start playing. That includes: 1,600 Polychrome, 20 Encrypted Master Tapes, 70 Master Tapes, 80 Boopons, Free Agent Corin. It’s not clear when this first promo ends, as it could be a while, but I would still log in now to claim it just in case.

So, all of this will give you a decent amount of initial pulls, well over 100, but you can also just save the currency for when they inevitably add future heroes later. But I mean, if you’re just starting out, you’ll probably want to build your collection quickly.

Playing the game, my first impressions are that the combat is pretty basic and the controls are primarily designed for mobile play in the beginning. It’s mostly two attacks and a lot of character swapping, and the “big button” model seems even more mobile-friendly than Genshin Impact. Still, it undoubtedly has a lot of players on PC and consoles as well.

I have no doubt that this will make Hoyoverse a lot of money, but my gut feeling tells me that it won’t happen. as popular as Genshin Impact in the long run. But I mean, if this is even 20% as successful, that’s still huge considering the billions Genshin has made. And 50 million downloads is obviously an extremely good start.
